FAQs
Why choose J.Rickel Signing Solutions, LLC?
J.Rickel Signing Solutions, LLC offers the convenience and flexibility of traveling to you! I know, so exciting! Which UPS store clerk or bank teller will travel to your home to notarize your documents?
How much do you charge?
The maximum allowable fee for performing notarial acts is $1.00 per signature.
I provide mobile notary services as a convenience and so there will be a "travel fee" in addition to the "notarial act fee."
Travel fees are:
Up to 5 miles = $20.00
Up to 10 miles =$40.00
Up to 15 miles = $60.00
Up to 20 miles = $80.00
Further than 20 miles, please contact me for a quote.
What do I need to do in order to prepare for my signing?
All notarizations require your identity to be proven. So please have a valid (not expired) photo ID available.
Acceptable and valid (not expired) forms of ID include:
Driver's license or state ID
U.S. passport or passport card
A valid foreign passport
U.S. military ID
ID card issued by the USCIS
**Social security cards, birth certificates and/or credit cards are NOT acceptable forms of valid ID.
I don't know which type of notarization is needed. Can you tell me which form I should choose?
No. As a Notary Public appointed and commissioned by the Illinois Secretary of State, I can only perform notarial acts. If you are unsure of the type of notarization that's needed, you would need to contact the party that is requesting notarization.
I am not authorized to prepare any legal documents or fill in blanks of any document other than a notary certificate.
I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN ILLINOIS AND MAY NOT GIVE LEGAL ADVICE OR ACCEPT FEES FOR LEGAL ADVICE.
